Have you seen these boxes around town? This is Geneva’s new anti-litter initiative “No Butts Left Behind.” With a generous grant from Keep America Beautiful, the BID is able to collect cigarette butts and send them to Terracycle, who then reuses the materials to create new products like benches, picnic tables and compost bins.
How many cigarette receptacles can you find? Take some pics or tell us where you saw them. If you can locate six we will give you a pair of GBID branded sunglasses! Stop into our office Monday-Friday between 9-5PM.
